Here's a financial update as InterVarsity's fiscal year draws to a close in June.

Note: This brief post is about my financial needs in particular, since a number of you have asked for detailed info — but I'd much rather start out speaking with you about the vision behind my work and my current projects. So if you haven't already, please start there: with my Calling & Vision and my latest ministry updates.

But I know many of you are interested to learn what the immediate needs are, so here's an update as of June 16. Whether you can give financially or not, may I ask you to pray with me about the following needs?

Short-Term

I've been very pleased to see a number of gifts coming in during the last couple weeks, and those have brought me to within $3,400 of my budgeted donations. But of course, that’s $3,400 I'd still love to see God provide before June 30. If you are in a position to consider a special, one-time gift to help wipe out this deficit, that would be wonderful! Longer-Term

The news here is even better. Because of a number of people indicating that they'll give regularly in 2004-2005, right around half of my target of $6,000 for the coming year should be covered. (The rest of my budget comes from other InterVarsity sources.) So in other words, I'm still looking for God's provision of an additional $250 per month from July onwards. If you can consider a monthly, quarterly, or annual gift to take a chunk out of that remaining need, you'll make a meaningful contribution toward my ministry with InterVarsity.
