A last-minute overnight trip out of town recently made me grateful once again for the partnership Ann and I enjoy with so many of you. That partnership can take many different forms. Some of you even pick up our mail!

A couple weeks ago, Ann was out of town attending some ministry team meetings, and at the same time I headed up to InterVarsity's headquarters, known as the National Service Center (in Madison, Wisconsin), for an overnight visit. But as things developed, my two busy days of meetings suddenly bloomed with extra opportunities for teamwork — if only I could stay an extra day....

My problem was that I hadn't counted on being away from home for more than two days' mail delivery, and now it would really pile up after three. But never fear! It was no small benefit to my work that day that I knew I could call upon Jack and Mary, our neighbors and active supporters of our ministry. A quick phone call, and they very kindly assured me they'd pick up the mail. I was good to go, freed up to seize the extra opportunities for fruitful work the Lord had presented.

Picking up my mail is admittedly a bit of an untypical way to partner with me in ministry. But whatever you do — whether you pray, donate, feed me content for publication, or something else — your partnership in this work is invaluable. And it takes all kinds of help, big and small, for us to keep moving ahead.

So to all of you who help further the work of Christ on campus — whether that's by picking up my mail or by some more conventional means — many thanks!
