As of last Sunday, my role on our church's council will change as I become vice chair.

Seeing the council's chair, Bob Hubbard, in action this last year during my service on the council has been a privilege. So when he and our pastor, Deb Gustafson, inquired about whether I might replace the outgoing vice chair, I didn't need to ponder too long.

The coming year will be an interesting one for Grace, as we continue to work to maximize our wonderful, but smallish, facilities for our growing urban congregation. We're glad to be growing in all dimensions of our mission statement: worship, fellowship, discipleship, evangelism, and ministry.

Please pray for me in this new role: that God would give me wisdom I can bring to Grace, for good communication and relationships among the council and between the council and congregation, and for the liveliness of his Church in our little piece of it.
